I love everything about this picture.
I can't always explain what it is that I love...

Its not always the most technically perfect image, quite often that's not the case at all.
It's more than that.

It's a story.

It's an emotion.

It's passion.

This is why I love photography.
It's what moves me.

This image may pack a super punch to me for a couple of reasons:

  • First and foremost is watching my husband and HIS passion for the sport of softball.  When someone you love is excited about something, you tend to share that excitement.  He truly has the most enthusiasm for it and I adore that about him.
  • Next, the players putting in the time, talent, hard work and passion for the game is moving and inspirational as well.  Each girl brings something different and equally important to the team.  Personalities and talents blending together to form a "family" all working toward the same goals.  My husband always says, "Softball can teach you so much more than just the game, it can teach you life if you let it".  He's right.
  • Finally, I grew up in a "softball" family, traveling each summer with my sister's team, coached by our dad.  We visted many cities and made some of my fondest memories during those years.  I'm thankful for those experiences.

And although I HATE

...I ran across this quote and it felt appropriate:

One more.
